SUMMARY:Miscou Island Marram Grass Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join Ghost Gear Disappear Inc. for an afternoon of dune restoration on Miscou Island. Together\, we’ll plant native marram grass to help stabilize sand dunes and protect the island’s vulnerable coastline. \nMarram grass plays a crucial role in reducing coastal erosion. Its deep roots help anchor sand in place\, allowing dunes to grow and buffer against rising seas and strong storms. By restoring these natural barriers\, we can help protect important habitat for birds\, insects\, and other species — as well as nearby communities. \nNo experience needed — just a willingness to get your hands sandy and support nature. \nWhat to Bring: Hat\, sunscreen\, water\, gloves if you have them\, comfortable clothing \nWhat is Provided: First aid kit\, planting tools\, gloves\, hand sanitizer\, extra water/snacks \nNote: No washroom facilities on site. \nQuestions? Contact Austin Vibert\, Ghost Gear Disappear Inc. at\n 📧 austin_vibert@ghostgeardisappear.com | 📞 506-340-0810 \n  \nPlease note the rain date for this event will be Sunday September 21 2025.
